Active Projects

Legacy Land Conservancy works on several exciting land protection and stewardship projects simultaneously throughout our tri-county service area. Whether the land is donated or purchased, the full cost to acquire the land from inquiry to close and then steward it forever is expensive.

Legacy strives to raise the full cost of each individual project before closing. Currently, we have 24 projects in the land acquisition pipeline that will cost a total of over $4M to protect.

For more information on any of these projects, please contact Krista Jacob at 734.780.6948 or kjacob@legacylandconservancy.org.

Iron Creek Preserve – Legacy is currently working on acquiring just under 80 acres in Washtenaw County that will become Iron Creek Preserve–our 8th nature preserve! It will take over one million dollars to protect this land. We have successfully raised over half.
