Workday at Sharon Hills Preserve – Remove invasive species garlic mustard

May 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

On May 4th from 10am-12pm, Legacy Land Conservancy will be leading a workday at Sharon Hills Preserve. Join us to help remove the invasive species garlic mustard.

Volunteers will be hand-pulling the invasive species garlic mustard and disposing of it in garbage bags (bags will be provided by Legacy) so the plants don’t re-establish themselves after being pulled.

Please dress for the weather and in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Pants and closed toe shoes are a must, regardless of the temperature, to protect from poison ivy and getting scratched up while working outside.

Legacy will provide tools and work gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have a pair you like. Don’t forget a water bottle and sunscreen. We also suggest you bring bug spray to reduce the risk of exposure to ticks and other biting insects. Meet at the parking lot on Sharon Hollow Road (between Walker and Washburn Roads), located at Sharon Hollow Rd, Manchester, MI 48158.

Please RSVP by filling out this Google form
