Volunteer Workday 12/5/2026: Remove Buckthorn at Iron Creek Preserve

Join Legacy Land Conservancy for an Iron Creek Preserve workday on December 5 and help remove invasive species like buckthorn and autumn-olive.
With a hillside rising 100 feet over Iron Creek Preserve, you can admire the rare prairie fen and Iron Creek running alongside it. As our newest preserve acquisition, Legacy has been working hard to maintain its stunning habitat features and we would love your help.
Register- Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Wear a long sleeve shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes, regardless of the temperature to protect from poison ivy and ticks.
- Please bring a water bottle, bug spray, and sunscreen.
Legacy will provide tools and work gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own!
