Meet Our Staff
Mario Black
Mario grew up in Michigan and now lives in Virginia, working remotely with Legacy Land Conservancy. Before joining Legacy, he spent over a decade in hospitality and holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Grand Valley State University. His journey also took him to China, where he taught English and explored new cultures before shifting into nonprofit work.
Outside of work, Mario likes cooking, discovering new restaurants, hiking, photography, traveling, and playing board games. He also treasures time spent with his partner, their dog Daisy, and family and friends—whether in Virginia or back in Michigan.
