Meet Our Staff
Maddy Gackenbach
Born and raised in rural Northwest Ohio, Maddy has had a deep appreciation for the natural world from a young age. During college, Maddy completed wildlife rehabilitation internships at the Bird Center of Michigan and Nature’s Nursery. Upon graduating from Ohio State University, Maddy spent two years working for The Nature Conservancy on restoration crews in both Ohio and Michigan, where their passion for botany and ecological restoration bloomed. When they aren’t out in the field fighting off invasive plants, Maddy enjoys spending time with their partner and pets, crafting, listening to music, and mothing.
