Meet Our Staff

Cara Green
After graduating from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in earth science, Cara moved from Marquette to Oregon, where she completed an internship with the U.S. Forest Service and GeoCorps America. After falling in love with the Pacific Northwest, Cara worked as an herbal practitioner and teacher in Portland.
Before joining Legacy in 2024, Cara transitioned into land trust work when she moved back to Michigan and spent several years as a Field Stewardship Technician for Livingston Land Conservancy. She continues to serve as the chair for their Parker Nature Preserve Restoration Committee.
In her free time, Cara enjoys playing the guitar, crafting herbal medicines, filming on her 8mm camera, and cherishing life with her partner and loved ones.
How can I help you?
I assist with easement monitoring, landowner communications, and GIS maps. If you’re a landowner or volunteer, I can help with monitoring visits or questions, connect you with resources, or assist with data and maps.
