Meet Our Staff

Ansleigh Gunter
Ansleigh grew up in Florida, where she fell in love with mangroves and public lands. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Richmond in Virginia, she moved to Michigan where she is currently completing her graduate studies in conservation ecology at University of Michigan’s School for the Environment and Sustainability.
Her time with Legacy is supported by the Julia Elkin Conservation Leadership Award, which supports a summer internship in US land conservation in a public agency or non-profit. Ansleigh enjoys cooking new recipes, walks in the woods with her dog, Jimmy, and exploring farmer’s markets. She’s excited to experience working in a non-profit organization and make connections with people passionate about conservation!
